  • Abstracts submission is now open and will remain open till midnight Paris time on May the 15th 2024.

  • Following this period, the scientific committee of the 10th IAS 2024 will conduct a thorough review process and the final decisions regarding acceptance will be communicated to all oral speakers

  • Sufficient tickets for all potential speakers have been reserved, meaning that any presenter with an accepted abstract will be guaranteed the opportunity to purchase a ticket.
Important: all presenters (first author or presenting author) must register for the 10th IAS 2024.

  • Please note that only submissions meeting the specific criteria listed below will benefit from the review procedure.

SYMPOSIUM

SUBMISSION CRITERIA

The chosen topic should hold significant relevance and preferably offer practical implications in a broader context. The total duration of the symposium is one hour and 15 minutes (1h15min). Each speaker will be allotted 20 minutes for their presentation, allowing 5 minutes for a brief introduction and discussion following each presentation. While the exact timing is at the discretion of the chair, it must not exceed the total duration of 75 min. All the speakers of the symposium are responsible for covering their own congress registration fees, accommodations, and travel expenses.

The three speakers are required to deliver presentations related to one of the two open thematic symposiums of the 10th IAS 2024:

  • Biomechanics impairments in chronic ankle instability (symposium #3)
  • Return to sport and performance (PAASS) (symposium #6)

Where this works well, the combination of a Social Science and Natural Science Perspective will be preferred:

  • The speakers must not be affiliated with the same institute. Ideally, speakers represent different countries.
  • The proposal must include a female speaker.
  • Any speaker can only speak in one capacity (make sure with your proposed speakers that they are not involved in another symposium submission, keynote and/or workshop role)
  • All fields in the submission form must be completed as accurately as possible

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR AUTHORS

  • The abstract must be typed into the Abstract Submission Form.

  • Statements like “Data will be presented and discussed” are not acceptable.

  • The content must include research that relates to sport, sports activities, physical activity, or exercise.

  • It may not contain any tables or graphs and is restricted to ASCII-characters only*. Please note that an abstract prepared in a programme such as Windows Word may contain non-ASCII characters.

  • If there are references in the text, they have to be cited at the end of the abstract (they must fit the number of characters).

  • All abstract content is the sole responsibility of the author(s) of the abstract.

  • Editing is only possible at this stage. Once submitted, changes are no longer possible.

  • Receipt of your abstract submission will be sent to you by email.
